On the edge of an orchard in the foothills of the Upper Austrian Alps, a house has grown up that could be considered a reconstruction of the original building rather than a new building. However, the author of its design, Helmut Auer, also likes to give a facelift to old houses, but, in this case, he wanted to create timeless architecture. He didn’t want the house to be considered a fad of its time in ten or twenty years.
