We have been complying with the EU requirements for formaldehyde since 2014
We maintain a high standard of all the AGROP and NOVATOP products
As the first European manufacturer of multilayer solid-wood panels, we began using a new generation of adhesives made by the company AkzoNobel, already in 2014. Owing to that fact, we were in advance in full compliance with the EU legislation, in the meaning of Regulation EC 1272/2008 (CLP), identifying formaldehyde as a hazardous substance, which came into force on January 1, 2016.
Formaldehyde emissions 10 times lower than the E1 class limits
Tests conducted at the company WKI in Braunschweig showed such a small amount of free formaldehyde that this value is almost equal to the emission value of clean, unglued wood, and there is little difference between natural wood and our products (0.01-0.02 ppm – 0.01-0.02 mg/m3). These values are up to 10 times lower than the E1 limits according to standard EN 717-1 (the limit is 0.124 mg/m3) and also lower than the very strict limits specified in Natureplus. (Our panels have been successfully defending this prestigious certificate since 2008.)
